Introduction To BuggyRace 2024

BuggyRace 2024 is a Line Following buggy competition organised by IdeaForge. 

This is the first ever competition organised by IdeaForge. In this season , teams need to develop algorithms for buggy to follow the track and complete lap with accuracy and speed . 

This is simulation mode of competition . 

  • The algorithms developed by Teams will be executed in Gazebo(Simulation Software).
  • Teams need to write code in Python using ROS(Robotic Operating System).
  • Teams can see the camera output and debug using FoxGlove(Visualizing and debug purposes.
Scoring In Competition

Scoring and Ranking for performance depends on both speed and accuracy. 

  • Max Marks(30) based on percentile. The fastest buggy gets 30 and other teams get score based on percentile.
  • 1 Mark per each session . By attending to sessions . Teams get marks.
  • Penalties : For each penalty , the team losses 1 mark in competition. If both tires of front side or backside come out from line , then its  considered as penalty.
